I began doing mens work in 1990 and it has awakened within me an artistic desire to express myself that was lost a long time ago. I am currently in a mens' poetry zoom group where poet wannabees exult in their artistic expressions. As we said in the 60's, "WRITE ON"!

Not knowing privilege

Born Black

Knowing to be without

Standing in front of me

Speaking over him

“Your order sir”?

Speaking behind him

“This gentleman was here first”

He turned to me and nodded

Speaking to me

“Your order sir”?
